Field Trip

This week I’ve posted some pictures on Facebook about in store deals found on boxes.  Training your eyes to find extra on shelves deals takes a little bit of work.  This week I found a FREE Totino’s pizza rolls coupon on boxes of Toaster Strudel.

Of course, Avry wants her Strudel, so I picked up 2 boxes.  Then the coupon was for absolutely FREE Totino’s Roll snacks.

When I got home I looked around for more strudel coupons so I could double up on this offer.  What do you know, found some other interesting things.  I found FREE Redbox rentals from Totino’s when you buy 4, and I found $10 in gas when you buy any 10 Kellogg’s cereals.  Search for “Free with Purchase” in Google. All kinds of offer pop up.  Now when I redeem my Pizza rolls, I’m getting FREE Movie Codes too.  I spent $3.96 on the double box size of strudel, used $.50 on 2 coupon, received $3.21 for each in FREE.  Net out of pocket for strudel:  $.50 per box.  That’s a deal.

I like these deals because they do not require STAMPS.  They are not rebates, yet give you money and give you free products.  The key is finding the offers in the store.

There are lots of pretty marketing graphics that lure the eye.  Look for any that use the words “Free”  or “Gas”  or “Rewards”  those are the ones that actually give you something.

Let’s have  a class trip. Right now!  Split up your club into groups of two or three.  Go look for special marked boxes.  Then come back as a group and report what you have found.  Sharing will help everyone find more deals in the stores.  Places to look should include:

Þ Frozen
Þ Pharmacy
Þ Meat
Þ Cereal, Cereal, Cereal
Þ Chips and Snacks
Þ Liquor Department
Þ Refrigerated section:  Juice, Pillsbury brands
Þ Cleaning

While you’re out, keep a keen eye out for new Super bowl Offers in the snack and liquor areas.  Those offers will be hitting stores any day.
