Chit Chat

Have you ever been standing in line and had people staring at you while you checked out? It happens to me often. Usually, I’m holding up the line with my coupons. That’s when I take an opportunity to explain. Most people are in awe that my balance due keeps dwindling. So they start to look at me, then look at Debbie. Usually I get, “where do you get your coupons?”

Everywhere! I get coupons from Coupon Club, (Tell them time and place), I get coupons from the newspaper, online, clipping services, and here in the store.

Then comes the helping hand. I find that when I give, I always get a good feeling. So I’ve made it a practice that when someone asks me about saving money with coupons. I save them $5. I will then look in their cart, and then get them $5 in coupons from my organizer. I usually have at least $5 to give. They always have something common in the cart.

Our coupon club has seen many new faces from people I’ve met while in line. They bring coupons to club, and sometimes, even give me some. Next time You’re just waiting in line, take a look around. Your next recruit could be right behind you!
