Treasure Huntin'

We're about half way in the Treasure Hunt, and I'm seeing a lot of Cake pictures on Facebook.  When you win, you will redeem your playing card at your local store, and if it's a big prize you'll get your picture taken with a congrats cake.  This week, I saw a whole lot of cakes and happy faces.  So many that I started to crave cake.

This makes sense.  You've been collecting pieces for awhile now and you're looking for that one last piece to make you a winner.  You earn more playing pieces when you buy participating items in store.  These are marked clearly in stores with shelf signs.  Since the game is about midway, we'll have winners daily at every County Market.

Now is the time to really start looking at the weekly bonus  items on the shelves.  If you have a good manufacturer's coupon and can pick up an extra playing piece, it may be your winner.  Many items offer a bonus playing piece.  Not all items are advertised in the ad, so you'll have to keep your eyes open to see them as you walk the aisles.  I'm amazed at how many of these bonus offerings do indeed have a coupon that matches up.  Most are newspaper coupons, so available to everyone.

The Treasure Hunt coupons have been a wonderful savings for our local coupon club.  We have seen most of our members saving an additional $7 on average per checkout because of the Store issued coupons.  These really add up in the check out lane, and assist with your overall annual grocery budget and stockpiles.

The game board is made up of pieces you collect to win.   Just a reminder, there are 5 MILLION dollars worth of prizes being given away.  That's a lot of prizes.  We will be seeing more and more winners of cars, kitchens, and motorcycles in the coming weeks.  I hope one of those winners is you!

Good Luck!
