Where to get Coupons

Traveling and teaching classes about couponing is so much fun for me. The attendees are fantastic and they all can't wait to start saving money. This past week I was in Monmouth IL and Dixon IL. Both classes I was asked about where to get MORE coupons. There are some quick and easy ways to build up you coupon stash.

1. Start getting multiple newspaper inserts. This will build your stash fast. Newspaper coupons are the bread and butter of coupons. When you get a insert, you may or may not redeem the coupons inside. But you will at least have trading power! You will be able to share with those in your local coupon club, and online. If you don't have the funds to buy multiple Sunday papers, try finding free ones. Places like nursing homes, restaurants, coffee shops, and media groups have lots of newspapers delivered for their patrons. Usually those patrons are not interested in the coupons. Simply ask the manager if you can pick up the inserts when they are finished with the newpapers. Recycling center anyone?

2. Join a clipping service. I talk about the two I use all the time. Yet there are hundreds. You can even get into monthly packets for $1 out of the back of the Refund Cents magazine. For a newbie, these can save you big bucks. Sometimes you don't know what you can use until you see it.

3. Join a free online trading post. Yahoo and Google groups have many free trade boards. Just go to the Groups section, and search for groups that specialize in coupons. Traders will immediately post their HAVE and ISO (In search of) listings. It's free to use these services!

4. Coupon trains. These are a "Pay it forward" envelope of coupons. You can get onto a Coupon Train by adding your address to an already existing group. I find most of these on Hotcouponworld.com

5. Coupon Club! Yes, we will eventually have a group of savers meeting at every County Market and Cub Foods that NFI owns. We will help you to keep getting a steady steam of coupons. Join your club to get more info and coupons. Here are the stores that currently meet:
