Printing Coupons

Printer Expense happens! I purchased 3 new recycled cartridges this week and cringed. You can take some money saving steps when you print coupons. Here are some things you can do to save money while printing your dollars:

Use recycled paper. My husband’s office has boxes full of daily reports that are ran on one side of the page. They recycle in the office, but can never use all the paper. At the end of the school year, I used all the paper my kids brought home from school. You can use colored paper or white.

Print coupons in Black and White and in the Economy mode. To set your printer default settings, go to File> Print> from there you have several things you can change. Select Black and White to use only your black cartridge, and select Economy to use less ink.

Flip it over! Many coupons like the Prairie Farms coupons print one per page. If you are printing a pile, print one on the top and one one the bottom of each sheet of paper. Most PDF coupons will allow you to print as many as you want to use. When you see PDF coupons, print one for you, some extra’s for you coupon club members without computers. They make good trading coupons.

Cut your paper. If you have printed a Bricks coupon and it only used the top third of the paper, cut the remaining page and reuse it for more .

Put a Laser printer on your wishlist. It will take less ink than an inkjet printer. Over a year, it will pay for itself.

County Market will accept any internet printed coupon so long as the following things are present on each coupon:
  1. Watermark ensuring it was printed rather than photocopied.
  2. UPC is clear and will scan
  3. Expiration date is present.
  4. You adhere to all other policy requirements.
