Cookin With Coupons

Shopping this week includes any New Years treats.  Here are some good snacking recipes:  Coupon notations for extra savings are listed.

Recipe #1  7 Layer dip and Cantina Chips
I'm addicted to the new Cantina chips by Tostitos. I mentioned my addiction at the last coupon meeting so several of our group picked up bags. Now we're all addicted to Cantina chips!  They are like having a basket of chips at your favorite Mexican restaurant delivered to your table. So find a nice new dip recipe and excuse to buy more chips seemed appropriate for New Year's Eve.  Look for coupons on the front of bags to save $1 on 2 with purchase of dip.

All from Coupon stock piles:  Assemble in bowl (in my case a pie plate) in this order:
  •  1 can of Old El Paso refried beans.  Go Fat free, you'll feel better about eating all the chips! Look for peelies to buy 2 get 1 free seasoning mix, bright pink!
  • 1 Package of Wholly Guacamole, This is something that you get with coupons out of the produce department.  It freezes great, and keeps a LONG time.  I simply popped out a pouch from the freezer.  The product often has coupons and rebates.  My net on this pouch was $1  Save $1 on 1 printable
  • 1 small, 8oz container of Prairie Farms Sour Cream, mix with your Lawry's Taco seasoning from 2 weeks ago (we stocked when they were only $.50 each)

Use coupons provided direct from Re Gold to our Coupon clubs to save $.50 on 2
  •  1 Package of shredded Mexican blend cheese by Kraft

  •  1 Can of Mario Black olives   Use coupons provided direct from Mario to our Coupon clubs to save $.40 on 1
 Dip and enjoy!

Recipe #2 Bacon stuffed bites
I would like credit Pillsbury for this one.  I've amended the recipe to fit my "fix it fast and don't measure philosophy!"  It's simple and easy, and the kids love em.  Roll out dough, fill with ingredients.  Then just roll back up and slice as pinwheels.  Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.  Keep some extra dressing on hand for dipping.

  • 1  Pillsbury  crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons Ken's Ranch Dressing-From Stockpiles-Freebie!
  • 1/2 bag of Hormel Real Bacon pieces-Use Peelie Coupons to save $1 on 2
  • 1/2 package of Kraft shredded cheese blends-We stocked 2 weeks ago with our County Market in ad coupon.
  • small bunch of green onions (3-4)

  • Recipe #3  Katy Baby Bites
My darling 7 year old refuses to eat grown up meals.  But she does like little bites.  I discovered this little "snack" by accident, and it doubles as an appetizer.

Cube one 2.5 lb package of County Market boneles skinless chicken breasts.  Coat pieces with one Kraft Fresh Take kit.  Save $1 on 1 Kraft Fresh Take The kit contains both cheese mixture and bread crumbs.  Bake in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes and you have child sized chicken bites that both kids and adults will love.  Serve with a dip from Praire Farms, We like the JalapeƱo!  Save with printable coupons from Prairie Farms .com
